مری داونینگ هان (Mary Downing Hahn) متولد ۹ دسامبر ۱۹۳۷ نویسنده آمریکایی رمان‌های کودکان، نوجوانان و بزرگسالان، کتابدار سابق مدرسه است. او اولین کتاب خود را در سال 1979 منتشر کرد و از آن زمان تاکنون بیش از 30 رمان نوشته است.
او در بیش از سی جشنواره، نامزد و برنده جوایز مهمی شده است، از جمله: مدال خوانندگان جوان کالیفرنیا، جایزه‌ی کتاب کودک جورجیا، جایزه‌ی انتخابی مخاطبان ویرجینیا، جایزه گلدن ساور و…
